REGISTRATION
Registration for the ESOI Touchdown 2026 congress is to be made electronically by completing the respective registration form. Registration forms without full name, complete email and postal address cannot be processed. Registration fees depend on the date your payment is received at the ESOI bank account and will be considered as incomplete and adjusted accordingly if the payment is not received by the relevant deadline. Registration fees are excl. VAT.

Member Registration
Reduced member registration is available for all active ESOI members in 2026.
Resident Registration
Reduced resident registration will be offered to residents (young radiologists in training). Residents have to send or email a letter, written on official hospital letter paper and signed by the head of department, confirming their status as such within 5 working days after online registration. In case this confirmation is not received, the registration fee will automatically be adjusted to a regular fee. The age limit for a registration as resident/junior is set at 35 years (incl. the age of 35).

TRAVEL
Arrival by Air
Heidelberg is situated in the Rhine-Neckar region, approximately 90 km south of Frankfurt am Main. Several international airports serve the area, including Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and Stuttgart Airport (STR).
Transfers from Frankfurt International Airport
By Train
The rail journey from Frankfurt Airport to Heidelberg takes approximately 1.5 hours. Typically, travelers will need to transfer at either Frankfurt Central Station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof) or Mannheim Central Station (Mannheim Hauptbahnhof). A one-way ticket is approximately €28.
Lufthansa Airport Shuttle
The Lufthansa Airport Shuttle provides a direct bus link between Frankfurt Airport and Heidelberg. Buses operate daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. We strongly recommend making a reservation at least three days prior to your arrival.
Private Transfer (TLS Airport Transfer & Limousine Service)
For a more personalized service, individual transfers are available through TLS. This service offers direct transportation from the airport to your venue. Please note that bookings must be requested at least three days in advance. A driver will meet you directly at the airport arrivals area.
Arrival from Stuttgart Airport (STR)
The rail connection from Stuttgart Airport to Heidelberg takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. In most cases, a transfer at Stuttgart Central Station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof) is required. The price for a one-way ticket is approximately €22.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN
General Information
We are pleased to invite all interested individuals to submit an abstract for this year’s ESOI Touchdown 2026. For presenting authors of accepted abstracts, registration and on-site participation is mandatory. The best authors will receive free registration for the next ESOI Touchdown in 2027.
Abstract structure
Submissions can be made in one of the following three categories: oral presentation, scientific poster, or educational poster. Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 2,750 characters, including spaces.
Accepted oral presentations
Authors of the highest-rated oral abstracts will be invited to present their work during ESOI Touchdown 2026. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint format. Please adhere to the allotted speaking time as outlined in the programme overview. All presenters will have the opportunity to upload their presentation on-site. Kindly ensure your file is uploaded at least two hours prior to the start of your session.
Accepted poster presentations
Authors of top-scoring poster abstracts will be invited to display their work at ESOI Touchdown 2026. Accepted posters must be prepared in A1 portrait format. Poster presenters are required to bring their printed posters to Heidelberg and mount them on the designated poster walls.
Important deadlines

Notifications of acceptance/rejection will be sent mid/end July.
